Many of you have asked for an easier way to find positions in our field, so the ASR website now has a job board that fills itself. Each morning it gathers openings from the major academic job sites and keeps the ones that fit our community, from Rickettsia, Orientia and Coxiella to tick-borne disease, medical entomology and bacterial pathogenesis.
What you'll find
- More than 100 current openings: faculty, postdoc, research scientist and leadership roles
- "Core" tags on positions that name rickettsial or vector-borne research directly
- Filters for faculty, postdoc and trainee, and research staff roles, plus a search box
- Every listing links to the original posting, so you apply directly to the employer
Hiring in your lab or department?
Post the opening on The Chronicle of Higher Education, Science Careers, Nature Careers or Times Higher Education and include a term like "rickettsia," "tick-borne" or "vector-borne" in the description. It will appear on our board within a day. Know a job site we should add? Reply to this email with the link.
A special thank-you to the Executive Committee for the keyword ideas that shaped the board, and to everyone who has shared openings with the membership over the years.
Warm regards,
Karen Gottlieb, CMP
ASR Executive Director
